📍 Location

Located in the northeastern corner of Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is a pristine wilderness area rich in ancient cultures. It presents a vibrant tapestry of traditional communities awaiting exploration. Situated approximately 220 kilometres northwest of Moroto, the park spans the Karamoja Region, covering a total land area of 1,442 square kilometres, which is sufficiently expansive to support a variety of tourist activities.

Accessible by road: The park can be reached from Kampala via Gulu and Kitgum (approx. 571 km), or from Kampala via Karuma, Gulu, Kitgum, and Kidepo, the shortest and most commonly used route.
By air: Scheduled flights from Entebbe to Kidepo are available, operated by tour companies and Kidepo guides.

🎒 Activities at the Park

All activities in Kidepo National Park start with a briefing for tourists at the park headquarters, explaining rules, regulations, and expectations. After the briefing, tourists receive security measures, including a knowledgeable tour guide and a well-armed tour officer for protection.
